My name is Ruthy Fletcher. I teach Deaf Awareness and Basic Sign Language Training for all Hoteliers UK and Bespoke Hotels UK
I am showing you one of the accessible rooms for Deaf people.
There is a fire alarm with a strobing light and a vibrating pad under the pillow, also a flashing alarm clock with optional vibrating pad to help wake up in the morning! There is also a door sign - "Please aware - this room is occupied by a deaf / hard of hearing person". The sign can be removed to inform housekeeping it is ok to enter the room.
